Wester Messinger, 87, of Cortez, Colorado, was born on August 25, 1938 in Arizona and passed away on January 17 2026, in Cortez. Wester was a long-time resident of Cortez, living here for 85 years. He enjoyed hunting, studying the Constitution of the United States, and most importantly working on his ranch.

He is survived by his wife of 60 years, Sandra Messinger of Cortez, CO, daughters Kristy (Rick) Ferguson of Las Vegas, NV, Kim Messinger of Tucson, AZ, and one grandchild, Tyler Ferguson of Las Vegas, NV.

He will be deeply missed by those who knew and loved him.
