Terry Daniel Stephenson of Cortez, Colorado passed away on July 15th, 2026, at the age of 79 years old. Beloved husband of 52 years to Cathy (Holcomb) Stephenson. He was the son of the late Charles and Edith (nee Malone) Stephenson. Terry was preceded in death by his brother, Timothy Stephenson; brother-in-law Preston McGirr.

Terry proudly served his country as a Vietnam veteran. He was an avid fisherman and a mentor to many. He was a devoted employee to Telluride Gravel for 40 years. 

Terry is survived by his loving wife, Cathy Stephenson; his siblings: Janice Simpson (Dennis), Barbara McGirr, and Jim Stephenson (Debbie); his loving dogs, Katie and Phoebe; he is also survived by nieces, nephews, cousins, and many dear friends. Terry was loved and will be greatly missed by all who knew him.
