Sharon was born July 25, 1941, in Moran, Allen County, Kansas. She was cherished by her mother, Willie Lorine Keen and was loved and raised by her widowed grandmother, Willie (Pharo) Keen. She was raised alongside her aunts and uncles, being especially close to Aunt Faith (Moore) who still refers to Sharon as her “little sister”. Sharon passed away in Bountiful, Davis County, Utah in the Monument Health Care Center on July 16, 2025, just 9 days short of her 84th birthday.
Sharon was a devout member of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Saints. Sharon was happiest around babies and children, doted on her small dogs and was a loving caretaker of her foster daughter, Genevieve Graymountain. Sharon married W. Marcello (Marc) Semadeni February of 1961 in Gallup, (McKinley County) New Mexico. They had four boys together: Steve, Justin, Wes, and Randy. They also opened their home to many foster children, bringing Sylvester Dutche and Genevieve Graymountain into the family. Sharon once commented, “When my babies came, I didn’t know what to do but love them.” Marc and Sharon made a living farming on Cedar Point (San Juan County), Utah. Later, Sharon and Jenny moved to Cortez (Montezuma County) Colorado, and then to Bountiful, (Davis County) Utah, where she spent her later years.
Surviving Sharon are her “big sister” Aunt Faith Moore of Egnar, CO, as well as her children; Steve (Amber) of Monticello, UT; Justin (Randie) of South Jordan, UT; Wesley (Lance) of Grand Junction, CO; Randy (Sharrie) of Boise, ID; Sylvester Dutche of Towaoc, CO and Genevieve (Jenny) Graymountain of Bountiful, UT. Sharon is also survived by her grandchildren; Derrek (Amy), Jeremy (Morgan), Justin (Tiffany), Lauren (Chris), Ashley (Samantha), Jacee, Janae, Jacob (Charlee), Jerod, Jason (Lydia), Alex, Andrew (Makenzie), Joseph (Alicia), Catie, Raeden and Anna and her great-grandchildren; Kahlia, Olivia, Gage, Markus, Danny, Andy, Derrick, Krypton, Kamdon, Khanrad, Harlee, Jameson, Hudson, Greyson, Lukous, Oakley, Willow, Joshua, William, Jaxon, Korben, Lincoln, Shaila, Gideon, Nova, Trenton, Parker, Palmer and Lucy.
A funeral service for Sharon Kirby Keen Semadeni will be held Friday, August 1, 2025, with a 9:00 a.m. family viewing and 10:00 a.m. service at The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Saints, 1700 East Empire Street, Cortez, Colorado. Interment will follow at the Cortez Cemetery. Following the interment, a luncheon will be served at the LDS church building.
