A Funeral Mass for Cortez resident Sally Ann Mounier will be held at 10:00am (9:30am Rosary) on Thursday, June 25, 2026 at Saint Margaret Mary Alacoque in Cortez.

Sally was born July 11, 1938 in Buffalo, NY to Michael and Josephine Stefanik. She passed away on Thursday, June 18, 2026 at Valley Rehabilitation Center in Mancos, CO at the age of 87.

Sally was an avid cook and took an interest in politics starting in her early 20's. This led to her serving as a Council Member for Aurora, CO in the early 2010's.

Sally is survived by her children, Scott Mounier (Susan), Elaine Bragg (Steve), and John Mounier (Deborah); by her grandchildren Michael, Alex, Jane, Sarah, Allen, Maggie, Hope, John, Thomas, Meredith, Rebekah, and Leah; by great-grandson Zeth; and by her sister Kathy Early.

Sally was preceded in death by her daughter and son-in-law Joanne and Lenny Soveroski, and her brother Dennis Stefanik.
