Robert J. Dunsten (RJ, Bob, Bobby) died peacefully at home on December 22, 2021 surrounded with love.
RJ was born in Pittsburgh, PA, where he lived for 50 years then moved to CO. He was a graduate of Baldwin High School in 1968 and the University of Pittsburgh with a degree in psychology. He served in the Air Force reserve during Vietnam and was stationed at Lackland Air Force Base, San Antonio, TX. For most of his 30 years he worked in the accounts receivable department at United States Steel (USX) and later on the Help Desk, where he met many cherished friends.
RJ earned his Eagle Scout Boy Scout title and later became a scout leader. Through most of his adult life, RJ was a volunteer firefighter and paramedic for Balwin EMS. He was an avid hiker, loved to camp and played softball every week.
RJ was preceded in death by his parents, Ralph and Thelma (Pelkey) Dunsten. He is survived by the love of his life, Jill (Wethli) Dunsten. He was a beloved uncle to nieces and nephews and most especially William (Billy) Dunsten and wife Holly, Kristin (Wethli) Reilly and husband Doug, Richard (Rich) Dunsten and grand- nephew and niece, Michael and Juliana Reilly.
A private memorial will be held in PA at a later time.
