Robert Duane Luna Jr.

January 26, 1952 — February 28, 2021

Robert (Bob) Duane Luna was born in 1952 in Walnut Creek, CA to Robert and Johnna Luna. He passed away on February 28, 2021 at his residence in Dolores, CO at the age of 69.
Bob attended grade school and high school in Pleasant Hill, CA and excelled at baseball. In 1979 he moved to Chester CA and eventually found his life’s calling when he started a sporting goods store and hunting/fishing guide business called Bob’s Bait and Bull. In 1989 Bob went to work for the National Park Service and worked at multiple Parks including Haleakala National Park, Hawaii Volcanoes National Park, Lake Mead State Park, and Petrified Forest National Park. It was at Petrified Forest National Park that he realized how much he missed the hunting/fishing business and in 1998 made the decision to move to Dolores, Colorado to rekindle and pursue his passion for the outdoors and the hunting life. It is in Dolores that he started an outfitting service called Colorado Hunting Expeditions which offered Elk, Deer, Bear and Lion Hunts. Dolores is where he met his wife Terri Queen. He and Terri were married for 17 wonderful years. They together ran Colorado Hunting Expedition while also traveling the world together! Bob had more friends than can be mentioned here and loved them all dearly.
Bob is survived by his son Trevor (Claire) Luna and grandsons Drake and Hudson; his daughter Stacey (Tyler) Brown and grandchildren Celia and Gavin; his stepsons, Aaron Queen and Garret (Leah) Queen and grandchildren Skyler, Tessa and Talia; his step daughter Corey Crumpacker and grandchildren Kaleb, David and Sean.
You made me a better Father!! RIP in Pop! You are so loved!!! Every Man Dies, but not every Man really lives!!!! Bob LIVED!!
