Rex F. Brown passed away on July 15, 2020 in his home in Cortez, CO at the age of 92 with his family surrounding him; born April 12, 1928.
Rex was a kind, patient and loving father, grandfather and great grandfather. He was always just a phone call away if you ever needed advice or help. Rex was a retired truck driver and rancher. He stayed active up into his late 80’s, still out irrigating, riding his bike and helping whoever might need it.
Surviving Rex are his sister, Jackie Hopkins of Henderson NV; his children, Edith Brown Wittwer of Kanab Utah, Martha Harrington, Ed Clements, Vanette VanKeuren Taveira of Dolores CO, and Valerie Rodgers of Page AZ; his grandkids, Anthony and Jennifer Taveira, Erin and William Glenn, Amie and Brandon Reynolds, Melissa Rodgers, Nicholas Rodgers, Landon, Carson and Keenan Wittwer, Shannon, Tammy, Brenda Vankeuren; and 17 great grandchildren. Rex was preceded in death by his wife, Bette Brown, son Sam Brown, daughter Gene, daughter Rose, son Charlie, son Kim, son John, grandson Buddy Rodgers, granddaughter Mikki Taveira, siblings, Virginia Brown Parks, Finley Brown, Irene Brown Swapp, Ree Brown, Marden Brown, Shermin Brown, Carol Brown Muir, Celvin Robertson Brown, and Joseph Gernsey Brown.
