Philip Charles Olbert

PHILIP CHARLES OLBERT Philip Charles Olbert was born on November 28, 1942 in Durango, Colo., the son of Alfred Elmer and Geneva (Freeman) Olbert. He passed away on Monday, February 6, 2006 at the Valley Inn Nursing Home at the age of 63. Philip attended school in Ignacio, Colo. He spent a majority of his life in Ignacio where he operated a Briggs & Stratton machine shop and also worked at a Texaco station. His interests included building model airplanes, fishing, and watching western movies. Surviving Philip are his siblings, Robert Olbert and wife, Shirley of Bloomfield, N.M. and Barbara Baumgardner and husband, Pat of El Cajon, Calif.; three nieces and one nephew. He was preceded in death by his parents. At the request of Philip’s family, cremation has taken place and no services will be held.
