A Celebration of Patrick Doyal Melton's Life will be held at 2:00 p.m. on Saturday, April 25, 2026 at the Dove Creek Community Center (403 7th Street, Dove Creek, Colorado 81324).  Everyone who knew him and would like to come are welcome. 

Patrick was born on January 19, 2003 in Cortez, Colorado to Jeffrey Lee Melton and Lyla "Carole" Adams. Patrick passed away on April 9, 2026 in Grand Junction, Colorado, after a hard fought battle with cancer at the age of 23.  Patrick was beloved by many people in our community. He was raised in Dove Creek, Colorado where everyone knew him.  He enjoyed writing for Dungeons & Dragons and had many stories yet to be finished.  He loved camping, hiking, fishing and hunting with his best friend and cousin, Caden Baker. He and his friends Grant Ayers and Jessy Gore would spend hours playing many games, but Patrick's favorite was Magic the Gathering. He also loved spending time with his dog Roxie Rue, she is his only baby. 

Patrick is survived by his mother Carole Adams and step-father Jeff Muzzey, his father Jeffrey Melton and step-mom Michelle, his brother and sister-in-law Timothy and Daizey Melton, his nephew Numa Melton, his grandma Carol Melton and his grandpa Klock, many children he considered his neices and nephews and his cousins, and the many friends that are to numerous to name.  Patrick is preceded in death by his grandma Liz Klock and his grandfather Billy Melton. 

Again the family would like to invite all those who would like to attend Patrick's Celebration of Life. A Remembrance Ceremony will commence at 2:00 p.m. on Saturday, April 25, 2026 at the Dove Creek Community Center, followed by potluck dinner.
