Cortez

Mindy J. Rosenbaugh, of Cortez, Colorado, passed away on August 26, 2025, at Southwest Memorial Hospital.

She was born in Cortez on May 14, 1956, to Kathy Hatch and Johnny Hargrove.

Mindy grew up in Cortez alongside her younger brother, J.B. Hargrove. Together, they cherished fond memories of weekends spent bottle-digging with their father in the old station wagon. Throughout her life, Mindy was a devoted daughter, sister, wife, mother, grandmother, great-grandmother, and a dear friend to many.

She was a woman of many talents and passions. Mindy worked for several years as a florist before joining Caun-CO Industrial Supplies, where she eventually became a partner. After selling the business, she pursued her true calling in real estate, a career she loved and dedicated nearly 15 years to.

Beyond her work, Mindy enjoyed playing golf, tossing horseshoes, and spending time with her close circle of friends at the Elks. She will always be remembered for her incredible cooking and the way she made everyone feel welcome at her table.

Mindy is survived by her mother, Kathy Hargrove; stepmother, Molly Hargrove; husband, Jim Rosenbaugh; son, Chan Sparks (Kerry); son, Boe Reed; stepdaughters Rachel Cashner (Matt), Nikki Rosenbaugh, and Connie Bollinger; as well as many beloved grandchildren and great-grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by her father, Johnny Hargrove; her daughter, Randi Reed; and her son-in-law, David Pierce.

Mindy’s passing was sudden and deeply felt. As her family comes together to honor her life, details regarding funeral services will be announced at a later date.
