MARJORIE LAY Graveside interment services for longtime Cortez resident Marjorie Lay were held at 8 a.m. Monday, June 15 at Cortez Cemetery. Marjorie was born November 12, 1912 in Searights, Penn. the daughter of George and Bertha (Telapunich) Walshinsky. She passed away at The Valley Inn in Mancos on Friday, June 12, 2009 at the age of 96. Marjorie is survived by one sister, Dorothy Cross of Nottingham, Md. She was preceded in death by her husband, James Edward Lay; her parents; and by ten brothers and sisters.
