And there while attending the Methodist Church he met the love of his life Carolyn Lee Murphy. They were married on November 5, 1966 in Roswell. Larry’s parents Harold and Anna Lint, Carolyn’s parents Lester and Jennetta Murphy and Carolyn’s grandparents Leonard and Freda Willcox were all in attendance. Larry: “I could never had picked a more perfect family to join. Lester and Jennetta became like second parents to me.”

After leaving the Air Force in November of 1967, Larry: “I took Carol to North Dakota to meet my side of the family. She was terrified! However, she was a big hit.” Larry worked for Jamestown Gas in Jamestown, North Dakota. His first daughter Deborah was born in Jamestown in February of 1969. Traveling the country in their fifth wheel camper, working as camp hosts at several campgrounds, particularly in Arkansas Pass, Texas and Vallecito, Colorado. Their home base was here in Cortez, Colorado.

From Larry:

“I believe that every word in the Holy Bible is absolutely True! To me. I also believe that religion is very personal. To me. My soul is what I made of it throughout my life. In fact, it is all that is left when you die. I believe in the Trinity! Father, Son and the Holy Ghost. I believe that the reason you do something is just as important as the actual action itself. My God gave us a brain for a reason. God also gave us free will. I believe in God-He is the Father. I grew up with God as Father in my prayers. I believe in Jesus-He is the Son. I believe that he is my dearest friend, he knows my thoughts, my feelings, my actions and the results of my actions. He lives in our hearts. He takes our prayers to God. He was and is to come. I believe in the Holy Ghost-He is the Teacher, the Helper and the Compass in our lives. I am very grateful for each and every member of my family and for every single person I called friend! Thank you for all the love and care you’ve provided. I look forward to seeing you in Heaven! But please don’t bring any rocks, I hate picking rocks!”

Larry is survived by his oldest daughter Deborah Carol Lint, and five grandchildren; Adrian James and Arcadia Dannielle Ratcliff of California, Aaron Lee Byrd, Zachary Rowland and Brittney Lee Lint of Colorado; his angel brother Phil and his wife Marylee Lint of South Dakota, and many cousins, nieces, nephews, and many friends.
