Larry Lee Sparks

Graveside services for Cortez resident Larry Lee Sparks will be held at 3 p.m. Tuesday, April 12, 2022 at Cortez Cemetery.
Larry passed away on April 3, 2022 at Vista Grande Nursing home in Cortez, CO. He was 71 years old. Larry lived in a Community Connections host home with his loving family Michael Gabrel, Steven Goff and Derrick Melgoza.
Larry was a gentle soul. Simple things made him happy; a cup of coffee, a hug from a friend, a drive in the mountains, a walk in nature or a catchy Christmas song. He often wore a contagious smile. Without effort he brightened the mood of all those around him. He will be sincerely missed.
Larry was preceded in death by his sister, Carol Skinner; mother, June Hubbard; roommate, Richard Fedishen; and friend, Barb Keasler. He is survived by his brother, Roy Hubbard; and nephew, Craig Skinner.
