Memorial services for Towaoc resident Kern Douglas Washington will be held at 10 a.m. on Tuesday, December 6, 2022 at Ertel Memorial Chapel. Interment will follow at Cortez Cemetery. Pastor Rick Wells will officiate.
Kern Washington was born February 17, 1964 in Cortez, Colorado the son of Kern Edward Washington Sr. and Rose Mary Mills. He passed away on Saturday, November 26, 2022 at Southwest Memorial Hospital in Cortez at the age of 58.
Surviving Kern are his sisters Rose Ann Mills of Towaoc and Karen Kay Washington of Ignacio, Colorado. He was preceded in death by his parents and his brothers Lester Lee Posey, Lonnie Ray Dutchie Sr., and Henry Mills.
