Kay Florence Parkhurst (Ragland) was born in Eugene, OR on November 2, 1942, to Crystal and John Ragland. She had three siblings, Lee, Johnny, and Jeanie, and married the love of her life Victor Parkhurst in 1960. A military family, they traveled the world together with their four children: David, Greg, Jodi, and Steven. Kay loved to cook, was an active member in her local church, made beautiful pieces of embroidery, and was an avid fan of reading. They lived in numerous places after Vic retired from the Navy, but their favorites were Oregon, for the ocean, and Colorado, where most of their family lives. Kay passed away on July 17, 2026, surrounded by family. She is survived by her sister Jeanie and her daughter Jodi Mahaffey, and many grandchildren and even more great-grandchildren.
