Karen Marie Sanchez

Karen Marie Sanchez "Cari" was born in Cortez March 16,1969. She passed away December 16th ,2025 at home, peacefully surrounded by the family she loved after a long battle of kidney disease.

Cari was raised in Dolores where she loved to climb the mountain side, ride bicycle, motorcycles and swim in the river. Caris one passion in life was music, she loved to play the guitar and was self-taught. She was kind to all she met and would lend a hand to anyone in need. She was a devoted Christian who loved Jesus., she is home in the arms of Jesus.

Cari is survived by her mother and father Judy and Bert Pena brothers Max (Sherry), Richard, Isreal,Joe,Mike, Marcos (Luisa), Christopher (Chelsey), Sisters Linda, Ruthie, Tina, Molly (AJ), Lena (Tommy), Estra (Jose) Rhonda (Paul). Several nephews and nieces who thought of her as a second mom/ cool aunt.

She is proceed in death by her father Richard, bothers Eric, Tracy sisters Gloria and Mary nephews Max Jr and Matthew

Graveside service will be held at 11:00 a.m. Monday, December 22, 2025 at Summit Ridge Cemetery in Dolores, Colorado.
