Celebration of Life for Cortez resident, Julie Ann Whiteley, will be held on Sunday, May 5, 2024, 400 North Mildred Ave Cortez at 1 pm until 4.

  Julie Ann Whiteley was born November 3 1961, and adopted by Charles and Thelma Wiechert in Miles City, Montana. She passed away at Southwest Memorial Hospital in Cortez, Colorado on March 27, 2024, at the age of 62. 

  Julie is survived by her child, Andrea (Peters) Symons of Grand Junction, Colorado; grandchildren, Adrien Carignan, Eoghan Carignan, Saebyn  Symons, Korbin Symons. Siblings Joyce Hudsenbiler, Marla (MJ) Goodman, Michael (Mike) Davis, Diana Gribble, Tonye Truba, Kelvin (Kelly) Gribble, and Denise Wolford.

  Julie is preceded in death by her birth and adoptive parents, Irene Smith and August Davis, Charles and Thelma Wiechert. Sisters Cidney (Cid) Patterson and Loretta (Lori) Delaney.
