John Byron Fish

Funeral services for former area resident John Byron Fish will be held at 10 a.m. on Saturday, November 14 at Ertel Memorial Chapel. Interment will follow at Arriola Cemetery. Byron was born December 11, 1940 in Cortez, Colo. the son of John Charles and Julia Maye (Clawson) Fish. He passed away in Grand Junction, Colo. on Wednesday, November 11, 2015 at the age of 74. On March 25, 1960, Byron married Hilda Jane Hackett in Monticello, Utah. Surviving Byron are his wife of 55 years, Hilda Fish of Grand Junction, Colo.; his children, Sandra Shepherd of Lewis, Colo., Paul Fish of Cortez, Josie Wright of Grand Junction, Ruby Fish of Arizona, Charles Fish of Cortez, and Mac Fish of Grand Junction; numerous grandchildren and great-grandchildren; and by his siblings, Marionetta Cooper, Bob Fish, Glen Fish, Nelda Cloud, George Fish and Lorraine Gray, all of Cortez. Byron was preceded in death by his parents; by his children, John Fish, Julie Fish, Angeline Fish, and Floyd Fish; and by his brother, Allen Fish.
