Jeffery Thomas Gnas

June 7, 1977 — May 6, 2020

Jeffery Thomas Gnas was born on June 6, 1977 in Durango, CO the son of Gary and Sue Zan Gnas. Jeff passed away May 6, 2020 of natural causes. Jeff accepted Jesus as his Lord and Savior as a child at San Juan Bible Camp and was baptized at Arriola Bible Church. We know Jeff is at peace with Jesus today.
Jeff spent his childhood skiing, riding motorcycles, hiking, hunting, fishing, and anything else you can do in the beautiful mountains of Colorado. Jeff spent many summers in Genoa, CO with his family working on his grandparent’s wheat farm during the harvest. In high school Jeff competed on the wrestling, football, and baseball teams. After graduating high school in 1996 Jeff joined the Colorado Army National Guard where he served for 6 years. During this time Jeff earned his Bachelor of Science at Fort Lewis College in Durango Colorado. Jeff served as a biomedical technician at Southwest Healthcare Systems.
Jeff was well known as a humble, soft-spoken, and kind person with a heart to care and help anyone. He loved sharing the outdoors with his children, Iler and Payton, and watching them grow into wonderful people. His happiest times were camping with his family. Jeff loved animals, especially his beloved Newfoundland dog, Molly.
Jeff is survived by his parents, Gary and Sue Zan Gnas of Surprise, AZ, his brother and sister-in-law, Douglas and Courtney Gnas of Paradise Valley, AZ, and his children, Iler and Payton Gnas of Colorado Springs, CO.
A celebration of life will be announced and held at a future date where family and friends plan to gather at a place very special to Jeff.

For we know that if the earthly tent we live in is destroyed, we have a building from God, an eternal house in heaven, not built by human hands.
2nd Corinthians 5:1

We welcome any memories, stories, or thoughts you have to share about Jeff.
