Please join the Green family as we celebrate the life of our beloved mother Janet Green. Services will be held on Friday, September 25th, 2026 at 1:00 at Ertel Memorial Chapel.

Janet was born December 22, 1945 in Durango Colorado. She was the daughter of Norman and MaryAnn Hough. She passed away peacefully, surrounded by family, at her residence on September 12, 2026.

Janet married the love of her life Eddie Green in 1965 in Cortez Colorado and they were together for 45 years until Eddie’s passing in 2010. They had two children, Nicki Green and Chad Green. She loved her four grandchildren, Rayce and Ryder Green, Noble and Trayton Traweek. Family was Janet’s life and her greatest joy was the family doing activities together. She supported her kids in their many activities from Pom-Pom instructor to racing with Chad. She was involved with her grandchildren and never missed a 4-H show, football, baseball, or basketball game, a dirt track race and of course gymkhana horse events.

Janet never met an animal she didn’t love. She always had her horses, dogs, and cats by her side. She loved riding horses, from her days of barrel racing to trail-riding. She liked snow skiing, camping and never missed an opportunity to visit Disneyland with family!

Surviving Janet are her children, four grandchildren and her sister Debi Don Carlos. She was preceded in death by her parents and her husband Eddie.
