James Ross "Jim" Davis

JAMES ROSS "JIM" DAVIS James Ross "Jim" Davis was born May 2, 1960, in Cortez to Bill Ross and Betty Lois (Russell) Davis. He passed away Saturday, September 28, 2013 in Gary, Ind. at the age of 53. Jim was a truck owner-driver and was leased to Mercer Transportation out of Louisville, Ky. He loved the outdoors, hunting, and four-wheeling in the Colorado Mountains. He is survived by his son, Donnie Davis of Cortez; mother, Betty Lois Davis of Dolores; brother, Russell Davis (Lois Linnens Davis) of Cortez; sister, Darla Trudeau (Leon Cawley) of Belton, Tex.; brother, David Davis of Dolores; nephews, Kenneth Davis and Keith Davis of Cortez; nieces, Christina (Trudeau) Maze of Killeen, Tex. and Teresa (Trudeau) Walton (Norman) of Copperas Cove, Tex.; and numerous great nieces and nephews. He is preceded in death by his father, Bill Ross Davis. A memorial service is planned for this coming summer to be held in the San Juan Mountains.
