HELEN LEONA (HUDSON) ENSCH Helen Leona (Hudson) Ensch of Cortez, CO, former resident of Springfield, IL, passed away on 30 November 2010 at the Vista Grande Inn. Helen was born October 4, 1911 in Waynesville, IL to Clyde and Leta (Heiserman) Hudson. She was preceded in death by her parents, husband, Norman M. Ensch, and siblings, Gilbert and Edna Hudson. She is survived by her four children, Norma (Ensch) Brumley of Dolores, CO, John C.(Jack) Ensch (Kathryn) of San Diego, CA, Leon M. Ensch (Barbara) of Lake Havasu City, AZ and Catherine (Cathy) Matulis (Anthony) of Katy, TX, 12 grandchildren, 20 great grandchildren, 6 great-great grandchildren, two nieces and 1 nephew. Helen resided in Springfield for over 50 years and was a member of St. Patrick's Catholic Parish. She worked for Dr. Lawrence Hagele DDS until retirement. In March 1999 she moved to Lake Havasu City, AZ and relocated to Cortez, Co in February 2009 until her death. Her remains were cremated and will be placed at rest with her husband in Calvery Cemetery, Springfield, IL. A memorial service will be held in Springfield to be announced at a later date.
