Funeral services for Harold Dee “Doc” Bryan Jr. will be held on Tuesday, February 25, 2020 at 2 p.m. at Dove Creek First Baptist Church. Interment will follow at Dove Creek Cemetery. Visitation will take place at 1 p.m. at the church prior to the service.
Doc was born March 21, 1943 the son of Harold Dee Bryan Sr. and Velta Mae (Rodd) Bryan. He passed away on Thursday, February 20, 2020 at Mercy Regional Medical Center in Durango at the age of 76.
Doc had a huge heart and loved God above all else. Family meant everything to him and he was a devoted friend to many. He had a servants heart and served as a deacon in several churches over many years. He loved his years in Alaska where he enjoyed flying, fishing and hunting. He also loved his orchard, music (piano, choir, quartet) and especially his "fur" babies. Having attained his Ph.D in general medicine, he went on to practice medicine for 31 years.
Surviving Doc are his loving wife, Verna Bryan of Cahone; his daughters, Cheryl Rohrscheib of Cahone and Melanie Bryan of Hattiesburg, MS; by six grandchildren and four great-grandchildren; and by his sisters, Myrtha Broussard of Kentucky and Patsy Young. Doc was preceded in death by his parents.
