Obituary

A much-loved husband, father, papa, son, and brother, Jerry Goodall, 79, of Lewis, CO, passed away peacefully at his home on April 23, 2026, with his family present. He had bravely confronted and fought cancer. He was born January 10, 1947, at the Cortez hospital. Jerry attended Montezuma Cortez High School. Then, in 1966, he was working in Rico at the coal mines when his mother, Lola Goodall, arrived with his draft letter.

From there, he was off to Vietnam when at the last minute he was rerouted to Korea. Thankfully, in 1968, he made it home safely, and that is where Jerry met his future wife, Rosie Lopez. Rosie and Jerry wed on October 3, 1969. To their surprise, this date was shared with Jerry's mother and father's anniversary, Phil Black's birthday, and Eddie Goodall's birthday. Jerry then began working at the Plywood Mill, and shortly after that, he taught himself how to weld and spent the rest of his career doing that alongside farming and ranching. Jerry was the ultimate prankster, an honest, hard-working, family-oriented, incredible man.

Jerry is survived by his wife of 56 years, Rosie Goodall; daughters, Tammy Goodall and Michelle Parker (Terry); granddaughters, Kaleigh Hollar (Caleb), Chessie Wollert (Keifer), Hannah Parker (Zachary), and Hailey Parker; great-grandchildren, Bella Hollar, Cash Hollar, Boone Wollert, and soon-to-be baby girl Wollert; and sister, Noreen Denham. He is preceded in death by his father, Edward Goodall; mother, Lola Goodall; brothers, Eddie, Clyde, Donnie, Dale, and Wayne Goodall; and sister, Nadean Black. Jerry fought the good fight and will be greatly missed by many.
