Genaro (Jerry) Aurelio Cordova, born August 2,1930 to Elias Cordova and Cruz Valdez, peacefully passed away on April 6, 2024 at the age of 93 surrounded by loved ones. He was born in La Puente, NM and was one of four siblings, including Lily, Vicenta, and Tony.

Jerry's life was deeply enriched by his beloved spouse whom he met in Plaza Blanca, and they shared 68 wonderful years of marriage since June 11th, 1956. Together, they were blessed with three children; Liz Stanley (1957), Lee Cordova (1960), and Jerry Cordova (1969).

A dedicated ranch hand at Thies Cattle Company, Jerry found joy in his work at Horse Lake. He had a passion for the outdoors, particularly riding fence lines, tending to cattle, and nurturing horses. However, his greatest joy came from spending time with his cherished family. He loved dancing, fishing, camping, and creating lasting memories together.

Jerry is survived by his loving children; Lee Cordova of Grand Junction, Colorado, and Jerry Cordova (Evelyn) of Bloomfield, New Mexico. He will be deeply missed by his grandchildren; Dale McDaniel, Kevin Cordova, Sylvia Velarde, Nicole Loyd, KaCee Cordova, JT Cordova, Jesse Cordova, Heather Lopez, Patrick Mantel, numerous great-grandchildren, and great-great-grandchildren.

He is preceded in death by his parents, wife, siblings, daughter Liz, and grandson Lucas.

Jerry's kind heart, unwavering love for his family, and his zest for life will forever be remembered and cherished by all who had the privilege of knowing him.
