Frank Tony Chavez

On the morning of February 1, 2022 Frank T Chavez passed away. He was 83 and passed from natural causes. He has been a resident of Cortez, Colorado for 29 years.
Frank was born to Porfirio Jesus Chavez and Ruth Williams in Pagosa Springs, Colorado. He was one of five boys; Mitch Chavez(deceased), Ray Chavez(deceased), Fred Chavez and Claudio Chavez are his brothers. He was married to Ms. Shirley Ann Chavez. He had 5 children; Cynthia Paige, PJ Chavez(deceased), Tony Chavez, Alesia Weber and Tonya Lindsey.
Frank traveled and worked all over the states but was most formally known to be a maintenance foreman for the Oregon Steel Mills. He was a jack of all trades and an entrepreneur who had owned many businesses throughout his life. He loved
working on his property and building things or tinkering in his shop. He loved spending time with his grandchildren most and enjoyed gatherings at his home with his family. His hobbies consisted of classic car shows and having the greenest grass in town.
Surviving Frank are 11 grandchildren whom he adored completely. He had many nieces and nephews whom he loved as well.
Services will be held this spring. Family will announce the date of services at a later time.
