Elsie Marie Sheets

Memorial services for longtime Cortez resident Elsie Marie Sheets will be held at 10 a.m. on Tuesday, December 14, 2021 at Ertel Memorial Chapel. Pastors Joe Calloway and Fred Calloway will officiate. Inurnment will follow at Cortez Cemetery.
Elsie was born December 29, 1927 in Durango, CO the daughter of Edward Elmer and Frances Mildred (Morgan) Dosher. She passed away on Wednesday, December 1, 2021 at Southwest Memorial Hospital at the age of 93.
Surviving Elsie are her children, Michael Glen Sheets (Gerry) of Cortez, John Steven Sheets (Margaret) of Florence, CO, Sherill Frances Depue (Billy) of Dolores, Cindy Colleen Roofe of Lewis, Perry Edward Sheets (Dolores Ann) of Lewis, Kelly Jeanne Hearn of Cortez and Richard Anthony Sheets (Charlene)of Rifle, CO. Elsie was preceded in death by her parents; her beloved husband, Perry Glen Sheets; and her daughter, Vickie Lynn Mata.
