Joan was born on September 8, 1936, she peacefully passed away early Sunday morning May 17, 2026. She attended BYU for her first year of college. While there she performed as a Rockette. Joan then married Frank Leon Humphreys. She worked at the Montezuma County Tax Assessors Office in the county courthouse. At that time. She then went to become a bookkeeper, doing payroll at the RE-1 School District for the next twenty-eight years.

Joan taught Aquamotion at the city swimming pool for over twenty years. She met the love of her life after living alone for many years. Don J. Harclerode became her husband and best friend. The married-on November 29, 1997, Don convinced her to retire from the school district and the swimming pool to allow them time to travel. They spent many winters in Arizona with family and friends.

Joan had two children and one son-in-law. Son, Danny Eugene Humphreys, daughter Dee Cornett and son-in-law Don Cornett. She has one granddaughter, Sonny Elizabeth Stone as well as four stepchildren and many step grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by her parents, Lester and Lillie Hartle, and her sister, Donnis DuCray.

She will be deeply missed.
