DaVonte Silas James

Funeral services for Durango resident DaVonte Silas James will be held at 10 a.m. on Thursday, April 6, 2023, at Ertel Memorial Chapel. Norine Silas will officiate.

DaVonte was born February 10, 2005 in Cortez, Colorado, the son of Lydell Mitchell James and Mary Rose Silas. He passed away on Sunday, April 2, 2023 at the age of 18.

Surviving DaVonte are his parents; his siblings Briana McCook, Terece Newman, Teryn Newman, Nykesha May, Al’Nicia Newman, Bryan Ponzo Jr., Kazmera Ponzo, James King Jr., Willie Fuller, Nanas Fuller, Xavier Silas, Silas Bitsie, Ouray Bitsie, Legacee Bitsie, Donnella Silas Moffatt; and a large extended family.
