David Allan
Anderson
February 27, 1954 – April 10, 2026
It is with a heavy heart and deep sadness that we announce the passing of David A. Anderson. David moved to the Four Corners area in 1974 with aspirations of becoming a “mountain man”. For David, the line between reality and the film Jeremiah Johnson was as thin as the mountain air he loved. His obsession with the Colorado Rockies ran as deep as his love for his children. So much so he named his first son Jeremiah after the iconic character he revered. David was known to be a man of many talents and a hard worker. He made his way in life working with his hands; be it logging, framing or carpentry he was always working to help a neighbor. We knew him best as a loving father and grandfather. He would drop everything to help family and never missed an opportunity to offer guidance or pass down important life lessons.
David passed peacefully on April 10,2026 after a long battle with dementia. He is survived by his son Jeremiah Anderson (Sarah Anderson), his daughter Rachel Anderson (Willy Brown) and youngest son Tavis Anderson (Kate Anderson). He will be truly missed by his numerous grandchildren.
David Allan Anderson, February 27, 1954 to April 10, 2026.
