Clint Schurr, 57, of Pleasant View, Colorado, passed away unexpectedly, leaving behind a family and community who loved him deeply.
Clint was born in Salmon, Idaho, to Terry and Janey Schurr. He graduated from Cortez High School and went on to earn his bachelor’s degree in Agricultural Business and Economics from New Mexico State University. While there, he met the love of his life, Kristin, his college sweetheart. The two married and built a beautiful life together, raising their daughters, Bailey Slater and Kacey Reidel.
Clint was a people person who never met a stranger. He was always ready to lend a hand to anyone in need and took pride in serving his community as a volunteer firefighter with the Pleasant View Fire Department. Professionally, Clint dedicated his career to education, teaching agriculture, wood shop, and other practical trades that equipped students with lifelong skills. Agriculture wasn’t just his work, it was his way of life, and some of his happiest hours were spent alongside his family, raising cattle and sharing the ranch life he loved.
Known for his corny dad jokes and quick wit, Clint had a sense of humor that could brighten any room. He was a loyal Denver Broncos fan, even through the tough seasons and that one particularly painful Super Bowl. Above all, Clint was a devoted family man. He was “Papa” to his granddaughter Brooke, who could always count on him for a laugh or a new animal from the sale barn she just had to have.
Clint is survived by his wife, Kristin Schurr; daughters, Bailey (Zane) Slater and Kacey (Jon) Reidel; granddaughter, Brooke Slater; parents, Terrill and Jane Schurr; and sister, Terra Schurr.
He will be deeply missed by his family, friends, and the entire Pleasant View community. Clint’s legacy of love, laughter, and service will continue to live on in the hearts of those who knew him.
A celebration of life will be held Saturday Nov 1st 2025 at the Pleasant View Fire Department at 1:00pm.
In lieu of flowers or food, the family would be grateful for a written memory of Clint—something special they can hold onto and read when they’re ready. Letters can be dropped off at the firehouse or mailed to:
