Clara Katheryne "Kathy" Ashwood

CLARA KATHERYNE “KATHY” ASHWOOD Clara Katheryne “Kathy” Ashwood, the daughter of Joseph and Clara K. (Matyniak) Dressler was born on September 25, 1921 in Des Moines, Iowa. She passed away on Saturday, February 18, 2006 at the Valley Inn Nursing Home at the age of 84. Kathy was a woman that loved to work with her hands, she was a very gifted quilter and flower arranger. She also enjoyed sewing. Surviving Kathy are her loving husband, Howard A. Ashwood of Mancos; her sons, Dale H. Ashwood and wife, Jaqueline of Colbert, Wash., and Dudley Ashwood and wife, Kristina of Durango; and her six grandchildren. Preceding her in death were her parents; and her daughter, Holly Dolquist. Cremation has taken place and no services are planned at this time.
