Funeral services for Towaoc resident Charlesten Von Navanick will be held at 10 a.m. Friday, May 20, 2022 at Ertel Memorial Chapel. Mr. Tyrone Navanick and Mr. Rutherford Mills Sr. will officiate. Interment will follow at Cortez Cemetery. A Wake will be held at 6 p.m. Thursday, May 19, 2022 at 1280 Highway 491, Towaoc, CO.
Charleston was born June 24, 2000 in Shiprock, NM the son of Tyrone Von and Michele Kim (Thomas) Navanick. He passed away on Sunday, May 15, 2022 at Southwest Memorial Hospital in Cortez, CO at the age of 21.
Surviving Charlesten are his parents, Tyrone and Michele Navanick of Towaoc, CO; his grandmother, Sandra Root of Towaoc, CO; and his siblings, Trevonne Navanick of Towaoc, CO, Stanish Thomas of Phoenix, AZ, and Stanton Thomas of Albuquerque, NM. Charlesten was preceded in death by his grandparents, Virgil V. Navanick Jr, Paul Thomas, and Lillie Thomas; and his great grandparents, Charlie Root Sr, and Stella W. Root.
