Catherine Lois Spencer was born on June 5, 1941, in Artesia, New Mexico, to Mary and Willard Beaty as the youngest of eight children. She left this earthly plain on July 31, 2026, at Southwest Memorial Hospital in Cortez Colorado, at the age of 85.

Catherine is survived by her sister, Mary L. Mathews; her children, Stephen Adams, Elizabeth Bennett, and Deborah (Tim) Smith; her grandchildren, Jonathan and Marisa; her cousin, Tommy Strawbridge; numerous nieces and nephews; and her dear friends, Roy Alston and Caitlyn Coulon.

She was preceded in death by her parents, Mary and Willard Beaty; her siblings, Elizabeth, Thomas, Irma, Helen, Joseph, and Raymond; and her beloved husband, Larry.

Catherine will be remembered for the many lives she touched throughout her years and for the love she shared with her family and friends.

In accordance with her wishes, no services will be held at this time.
