Carolyn R. Lard

Carolyn R. Lard passed away June 13, 2025. She was proceeded in death by her husband Joe Lard, Father Fred (Myrtle) Crouse, Mother Collen Wolf and Brother Gary Crouse. She is survived by her Sister Judy Johnson, Children Rick (Kate) Lard, Shane (Toni) Lard, Jody (Aaron) Alsobrook. Grandchildren Jonathan and Aivree Apple. Extended family Juna Hebel, Linda Alvarado, Ryan Randy Alvarado, Randy Alvarado, their children and many, many more family members.

Carolyn loved spending time with her family and friends telling stories about the past and present. She loved spending time with her grandchildren playing games, reading books, doing crafts and going to all their sporting events to cheer them on.

Carolyn worked as a cook at the Cortez Middle School for twenty-one years. For many, many years she worked at the United Methodist Thrift Shop, she loved volunteering her time there and often stated it was the highlight of her days.

Carolyn will be greatly missed by all.

A Celebration of Carolyn’s Life will be held August 23, 2025 at 11:00 a.m. at the First United Methodist Church, with a luncheon to follow.
