Arveta Jean Lewis

Graveside services for Arveta Jean Lewis will be held at 11 a.m. Saturday August 1, 2020 at Cahone Cemetery. Visitation will take place from 5-7 p.m. Friday, July 31, 2020 at Ertel Memorial Chapel .
Arveta was born on June 16,1938 in Pleasant View, CO to Vernon Delno Todd and Orpha Estella Ross-Todd. She passed away on Friday, July 24, 2020 at her home in Monument, Colorado at the age of 82.
On August 18, 1955, Arveta married her sweetheart Orville Leroy Lewis in Dove Creek, CO. With this union four children were born, Nick, Steve, Cary and LaNaye. She will always be remembered as being devoted to her family and to her faith. Arveta enjoyed buying and selling antiques and traveling with Orville. She was an accomplished painter and created beautiful works with clay pottery.
Surviving Arveta are her two sons, Nick Lewis and wife, Ginger of Monument, CO, Steve Lewis and wife Gina of Tulsa, OK; seven grandchildren, Connie Lewis of Monument, CO, Candice Paumen and husband Justin of Grand Junction, CO, Cassandra Olgren and husband, Kyle of Monument, CO, Lesli Dinsmore and husband Cody of Tulsa, OK, Annie Tunnell and husband Cole of Oklahoma City, OK, Heidi Staebell and husband Ryan of Tulsa, OK, and Beth Davis of Statesville, NC.; eleven great grandchildren, and one great great grandchild; one aunt, Berta Todd-Boyd and husband Raymond; and all seven siblings, Marilyn Herrmann and husband Troy of Dolores, Vernon James Todd and wife Betty of Arizona City, Ariz., Judy Morton and husband James of Eugene, Ore., Emory Todd of Tulare, Calif., Donnie Todd and wife Sandra of Casa Grande, Ariz., Dean Todd of Seattle, Wash., and Allen Todd and wife Tami of Vici, Okla.
