Andy Joe Frizzell Jr

Celebration of life for Andy J. Frizzell Jr. is planned for Saturday March 11, 2023

at Rock Springs Church, 601 N Dolores Rd, Cortez,CO at 2 PM. Since we are

celebrating him we are asking everyone to wear orange, his favorite color.

 Andy joined his passed loved ones in heaven on February 2, 2023 at the age of 68. He passed

peacefully, knowing his wife, children & grandchildren were with him.

Andy was born on November 3, 1954 in Morton, TX to Andy J Frizzell Sr. &

Myrtle Marie Frizzell. Andy met Sharlane Crook in Cortez, CO in 1977. They began

dating in 1979, & later married on March 14, 1983; 40 years this month. They had two

beautiful daughters, Delanie and Angie. He also had two more beautiful children, Torie

Dawn & A.J., from a previous marriage.

Andy spent most of his years working on cars, trucks, & motorcycles–becoming

an amazing auto mechanic. He was so proud to have placed second in an auto

mechanic show in Grand Junction, CO. He was known as the best carb guy around. He

and his family lived in many different locations in New Mexico, Colorado, Arizona, &

Nevada. Ultimately, they ended up residing here in Cortez, CO near his mom, dad,

brothers, & sisters. Andy’s health began to decline, and he could no longer work as a

mechanic. Although, he needed something to do, as he could not sit still. He began

tinkering. He made many things: jewelry, model cars, urns, and much more. He had a

love for rocks, crystals, gold, silver, and he loved drawing. We could always count on a

homemade gift for any occasion. He was a good friend to all, but above all else he loved

his family, especially his grandkids.

Surviving Andy are his wife, Sharlane Frizzell; daughters, Delanie(Kyle) Duggan,

Angie(Byron) Hackett, and Torie Dawn(Norman) Krieger; grandchildren Erik, Alexcia,

Savana, Treven, Matix, Daniel, Zayda, Kinleigh, Jackie, David, & Tristan; brothers Jeff,

Bruce, Houston; & sisters, Billye, Daphne, Ethel, & Brandi; along with many nieces,

nephews, and in-laws.

Preceding Andy in death are his parents, Andy & Myrtle; his sister, Denise; & his

son, A.J.
