Abraham Daniel 'Abe' Saunders

Services for Mancos resident Abraham Daniel ‘Abe’ Saunders will be held at noon on Saturday, June 20, 2020 at Boyle Park in Mancos, CO. Pastor Shane Prentice will officiate. Interment will follow at 2 p.m. at Cedar Grove Cemetery. Military honors will be performed by the Veterans of Montezuma County.
Abe left us to join his loving wife, Alice Ann, in heaven on June 9, 2020 in Mancos, CO. He was a loving husband, father, uncle and friend. His love of music, life, entertaining, and people allowed him to be loved by many. He was strong as an oak tree and full of life. Abe was friendly and outgoing to the point that he never knew a stranger. He impacted people’s lives in the most positive way. Abe joined the Navy at the age of 17; he was on a destroyer in the Korean War. He was proud of his service.
Surviving Abe are his daughters, Diana Calman, Kathleen Cool, and Colleen Saunders; his nieces, Jo Savage and Sharen Ramsey; and many grandchildren, great grandchildren, nieces, nephews, cousins, and so many more people that he loved.
