William James "Bill" Wills

WILLIAM JAMES "BILL" WILLS William James "Bill" Wills was born on February 20, 1927 in Long Beach, Calif. the son of Bert and Rena (Mann) Wills. He passed away on Monday, November 24, 2008 in Cortez at the age of 81. On September 2, 1947 Bill and Jennie Frances Kern were married in Raton, N.M. Together they shared 61 years of marriage. Bill was a devoted husband, father and grandfather. He enjoyed hunting, fishing, horses and ranching as well as reading. Surviving Bill are his wife, Jennie Wills currently of Cortez and formerly of Pagosa Springs, Colo.; his children, Johnny Wills of Pueblo, Colo., Shirley Saddoris of Beulah, Colo., Sue Betts of Cortez, and Jerry Wills and wife, Vicki of Pagosa Springs, Colo.; six grandchildren, Johnathon Wills, Randy Wills, Tabitha Menapace, Jerry Orr, Jake Wills, and Hank Wills; by six great grandchildren, Caynon, Nathan, Sunnie, Wayne, Kadance and Ashton; and by two brothers, Bob Wills of Raton, N.M. and Clifford Wills of Arizona. Cremation has been arranged for with memorial services to take place later on in Pagosa Springs.
