Vida Viola Hall

VIDA VIOLA HALL Funeral services for longtime Cortez resident Vida Viola Hall will be held at 2:30 p.m. on Monday, December 15 at Lifeway Baptist Church. Interment will follow at Cortez Cemetery. James Vaughn and James Orchard will officiate. Vida was born on August 20, 1911 in Bazine, Kan. the daughter of William Wallace and Gertrude (Howard) Ebert. She passed away on Wednesday, December 10, 2008 at Vista Grande Inn at the age of 97. Vida was a devoted member of Lifeway Baptist church for 45+ years. She loved to travel, fish, and play cards. Vida also enjoyed camping, crocheting, knitting and crafts. Surviving Vida are her children, Evelyn Redfearn and husband, Don of Tallahassee, Florida, Richard Hall of Farmington, N.M., and H. Dean Hall and wife, Darlene of Belen, N.M.; seven grandchildren; 11 great-grandchildren; and five great-great-grandchildren. Vida was preceded in death by her parents; her husband, Clarence Hall; and one great-grandchild. Memorial contributions may be made in Vida's name to Lifeway Baptist Church.
