Velma Hart Andy

Velma Hart Andy was born June 17th 1923 in Oxford, Parkersburg , WV and grew up in West Union Doddridge County, the middle child of Aaron O. and Elizabeth 'Lizzie' Price Hart. She grew up in a happy community with constant friends and a lot of family. Among her favorites were her Uncle Mike Price, The Trent Boys and her cousin Frankie Taylor and cousin Millie Cain and the well-known Clyde Ware "Junior". She passed away on Aug 31st 2016. She was 93 years old..and the last member of her immediate family. She follows her parents Aaron and Lizzie, her sister, Lenore Hart Cohick, and her brother, Rev. "Jack" Hart. She will be interned at Glen Haven Memorial in Winter Park, Florida. She leaves behind two daughters: Carolyn (Jonathan) Hedglin and Mary Elizabeth "Betsy" (Marc) Guimond; three grandchildren: Lisa Beth Elixson, Stacy Ann Tyrrell, Nicholas Sebastian Guimond; three great grandchildren: Joel Lee (Patricia) Elixson, Eric Gregory Elixson, Daniel Seth Elixson; three granddogs: Tazzy, Smokie, and Princess; one great granddog Jasper and one grandcat: Barbara Gordon. She also leaves behind sister-in-law Phyllis Andy, nieces Jennifer and Diane Andy and sister-in- law Frances Hart and nephews Mike and Mark Hart and their children; nieces Toni Evans and Michele Veneziano and their children and grandchildren; and her good friend Maggie Pirnot. She was preceded in death by almost all of the Andy family including her husband Anthony Andy as well as other lifetime friends. Our family would like to thank everyone who helped Grandma over the last few years...esp the past year. It took a village.
