Theron O. Story

THERON O. STORY Graveside services for lifelong Goodman Point resident Theron O. Story will be held at 10 a.m. on Friday, June 27 at Goodman Point Cemetery. Theron was born April 23, 1921 in Gentry, Ark. the son of Olney L. and Willie Marie (Sheilds) Story. He passed away at his home on Goodman Point on Thursday, June 19, 2008 at the age of 87. Theron married Kathryn Mary (Calhoon) Story on June 30, 1940 in Monticello, Utah. Theron pioneered the production of dry land alfalfa in the Goodman Point area and served with the Soil Conservation for years. He was a member of the Montelores Baptist Church and was quite active with the 40's Bunch. A generous and caring man, Theron gladly assisted neighbors and widows with their needs. Theron never knew a stranger. Surviving Theron are his beloved wife, Kathryn Story of Goodman Point; his children, Errol T. Story and wife, Barbara of West Richland, Wash., Roxann Greiner and husband, Lee of Albuquerque, N.M., Jeannie Leonard and husband, Chet of Lewis, Colo., and Kay Williams and husband, Glenn of Cortez; by 12 grandchildren, 30 great grandchildren, and eight great great grandchildren; and by his sister, Janelle Olson and husband, Don of McCook, Neb. He was preceded in death by his parents; and his siblings, Keirgan and Keith Story and Juana Cox.
