Teri Lynn Sinclair

TERI LYNN SINCLAIR Memorial services for Teri Lynn Sinclair will be held at 7 p.m. on Tuesday, October 14 at the Open Door Fellowship Church in Denver. Pastor Andy Cannon will be officiating. Her family is planning a gathering of friends at a later date. Teri was born on March 5, 1964 at Good Samaritan Hospital in Phoenix, Ariz. to William Louis and Lynn (Stevenson) Sinclair. She passed away on Saturday, October 4, 2014 at Providence House Rehabilitation home in Denver, Colo. Teri was 50 years old. Teri moved to Cortez 1967 with her mother and older brother. A gifted athlete Teri was the first girl in Cortez to play little league baseball. She played short stop for Tex Ward's Cubs team. She graduated from Montezuma Cortez High School in 1982 where she excelled at softball, volleyball and basketball. Teri moved to Apache Junction, Ariz. in 1984 and worked with her dad at his landscaping business. She returned to Cortez in 1986 and worked at a few various jobs until 1991 when she began working at City Market in Cortez. Teri worked there for 20 years. She made many wonderful friends in customers and work mates. Teri loved them all dearly as they did her. A born again Christian, Teri's faith was everything to her. She attended the Open Door Fellowship Church in Denver, Colo. Teri leaves behind to mourn her and remember her beautiful presence on this earth, her mother, Lynn Carver of Cortez; brothers and sisters, David Sinclair and wife, Elaine of Arlington, Tex., Stephanie Carver and Jeanna Carver both of Cortez, Tanner Sinclair and Tiffani Kinghorn of Phoenix, Ariz.; her uncles, Jay Sinclair and wife, Pat of Carmel, Calif., and Gordon Sinclair; nephews, Justin Sinclair and wife, Brooke of Rico, Colo., Alex Carver, Daxon Hackett and Shon Sinclair and wife, Hannah all of Cortez, and Daniel Murdock of Alamosa, Colo.; her maternal grandmother, Capitola G. Stevens of Grand Junction, Colo.; step-mother, Peggy Sinclair; step-father, Gene Carver; her beloved dog Lucy. She was preceded in death by her father, William Louis Sinclair; paternal grandparents, Clark Sinclair and June Braun Sinclair Voigt; maternal grandfather, Andrew A. Stevenson; her uncle, Terry Lee Stevenson; aunt, Marlane Stevenson Hansen. Teri was a precious daughter, sister, aunt and friend. She had a smile that lit up the world. We will all miss her dearly and knowing she is now an angel and is smiling down on us make our hearts a whole lot happier.
