SIDNEY W. REDMOND JR. Graveside services for longtime Cortez resident Sidney W. Redmond Jr. will be held at 2 p.m. on Monday, March 24 at the Cortez Cemetery. Sidney was born on September 22, 1917 in Gary, Ind. the son of Sidney W. and Ressie (Harmon) Redmond. He passed away on Sunday, March 16, 2008 at Vista Mesa Assisted Living Center at the age of 90. Surviving Sidney are his daughters, Susan Brandt and Joan Caporale; and his step-children, Mike Kierchoff and Jacquie Sample. Sidney was preceded in death by his wife, Esther Redmond.
