SHIRLEY ALICE FOSTER Graveside services for Cortez resident, Shirley Alice Foster will be held at 2 p.m. on Friday, August 13 at the Cortez Cemetery. Shirley was born on December 26, 1925 in Berkeley, Calif. the daughter of Allen and Helen May (Douglas) McGahan. She passed away on Friday, August 6, 2004 at Aspen Gardens Assisted Living. She was 78 years old. Shirley was a member of both the Cortez and the Elk Grove, Calif. communities. Playing bridge was a passion of hers. She belonged to several bridge clubs in California. Surviving Shirley are her two sons, Keith E. Foster and wife, Margie of Durango, and Lester J. Foster of Albion, Wash.; she leaves six grandchildren, and six great-grandchildren. Preceding her in death were her parents; her husband, James M. Foster; and one brother.
