Shawna Kaye Johnson

SHAWNA KAYE JOHNSON Graveside inurnment services for lifelong Cortez resident, Shawna Kaye Johnson will be held at 2 p.m. on Tuesday, June 28 at Cortez Cemetery. Shawna was born February 23, 1969 in Grants, N.M. the daughter of John Louis and Reva (Fletcher) Johnson. She passed away at her Cortez home on Thursday, June 23, 2011 at the age of 42. Shawna worked five years at Kemper Elementary School teaching computer skills. She was very artistic, enjoying arts and crafts as well as sand etching and engraving. Shawna also enjoyed gardening. Surviving Shawna are her mother, Reva Fletcher Johnson of Cortez; her children, Joshua Allen Gentry and Sasha Buscaglia of Cortez, Killee Reeienne Gentry and Travis Peck of Cortez, and Ryan John Gentry also of Cortez; by her grandfather, Carlton L. Johnson of Cortez; and by numerous nieces, nephews, cousins and friends. Memorial contributions can be made in memory of Shawna Johnson with Citizens State Bank of Cortez.
