Ruth Baird Thorne

RUTH BAIRD THORNE Ruth Baird Thorne passed away at the Valley Inn Nursing Home in Mancos on Thursday, November 26, 2009 at the age of 101. She was born January 6, 1908 in Altona, Penn. the daughter of John Edgar and Anna Pitcairn (Greer) Lingenfelter. Surviving Ruth are her four children, Berton M. Tibbet of Pasadena, Calif., Nancy R. Kohl of Hemmet, Calif., Marjorie Ann Tibbet of Mira Loma, Calif. and Gloria C. Richetts of Dolores; by 23 grandchildren, 42 great grandchildren and 13 great great grandchildren; and by two sisters, Ann Chapman of San Clemente, Calif., and Jane Evans of Oakland, Calif. Cremation is planned with no local services to be held.
