RUBY LEE DENNISON Funeral services for former Cortez resident, Ruby Lee Dennison, will be held at 2 p.m. on Friday, May 1 at Ertel Memorial Chapel. Interment will follow at Cortez Cemetery. Visitation has been set for Friday from Noon to 1:30 p.m. at Ertel Chapel. Ruby was born to Charles Eugene and Mattie Ella (Wisdom) Cantrell on April 12, 1933 in Clayton, N.M. She passed away at St. Mary's Hospital in Grand Junction, Colo. on Monday, April 27, 2015 at the age of 82. Ruby married Vernon Dennison on May 6, 1950. From this union they had five children, Donna Anderson, Jeannie Riggott, Ron Dennison, Rick Dennison and Vicki Gallob. Surviving Ruby are her children, Donna Anderson and husband, Don, of Farmington, N.M., Jeannie Riggott of Delta, Colo., Ronnie Dennison of Cortez, Rick Dennison of Norwood, Colo., and Vicki Gallob and husband, Tony, also of Norwood; by 10 grandchildren and 23 great grandchildren; and her sister, Betty Davidson of Kirtland, N.M. Ruby was preceded in death by her husband, Vernon Oscar Dennison; by her parents; by her granddaughter, Kara Dawn Garner; and by her two brothers, Wayne Cantrell and Gene Cantrell.
