RONDA LEE LACKEY Funeral services for Bloomfield, N.M. resident and former Cortez resident Ronda Lee Lackey will be held at 10 a.m. on Monday, August 14 at the Ertel Memorial Chapel. Mr. Doug Carver will officiate. Interment will follow at the Lebanon Cemetery. Ronda was born on November 13, 1953 in Cortez, the daughter of Daniel and Dorothy (Koppenhafer) Carver. She passed away on Friday, August 11, 2006 in Dolores at the age of 52. On May 5, 1982, Ronda married Ronald C. Lackey at her parents’ residence. Surviving Ronda are her husband of 24 years, Ronald C. Lackey of Bloomfield, N.M.; her parents, Daniel and Dorothy Carver of Dolores; and her children, Zachary Don Bass and wife, Theresa of Kimball, S.D., Wesley John Lackey and wife, Kayla of Farmington, N.M., Isaac Scott Bass and wife, Stephanie also of Farmington, N.M., Jessica Ronda Bass of Farmington, N.M., Joshua James Lackey of Bloomfield, N.M., and Janell Suzette Lackey of Phoenix, Ariz. She also leaves behind 10 grandchildren; and her siblings, Trent Carver and wife, Denise of Cortez, Gaylene James and husband, Perry of Cortez, Jeff Carver and wife, Robin also of Cortez, Wanda Mars and husband, Jack of Lebanon, Colo., Rita Weitzel and husband, Robert of Dolores, and Jill Umberger and husband, Jason of Dolores.
