RONALD JAMES HUNT Memorial services for lifelong Cortez resident, Ronald James Hunt will be held at 2 p.m. on Tuesday, April 6 at the Ertel Memorial Chapel. Ron was born July 3, 1966 in Cortez the son of James Simpson “Corky” Hunt and Cheryl Jean Kremer Hunt. He passed away Thursday, April 1, 2004 at the age of 37. Ron loved being outdoors, camping, skiing, fishing and hunting. He also enjoyed his time spent at the racetrack and playing darts. Ron owned his own towing and mechanic service. Surviving Ron are his two sons Zack and Ryan of Mesa, Ariz.; his mother, Cheryl Nielson and stepfather, Danny of Bloomfield, N.M.; and his grandmother, Roberta Hunt of Cortez. His father, Corky Hunt; and his sister, Shelly Smith preceded Ron in death. Memorial contributions can be made in memory of Ron Hunt at Citizens State Bank of Cortez.
